I'm waiting for announcement by the Physics 72 course group leader regarding the exam on Monday. He has already asked the NIP Deputy Director for Academic Affairs for advise. I'll post (and email) any announcement as soon as I get it.

For now, I suggest that you continue studying and commit what you learned to long-term memory. Your problem (and exam) won't go away anyway in case the exam is postponed. You will just prolong your agony.

AWKWARD, MUCH? We were classmates way back in highschool... blockmates when we moved on to college and ABM co-applicants!! PLUS, he was one of my partners when we climbed up Mt. Taal, one of my 18 roses on my debut AND HE SAW ME IN MY ICKY PAMBAHAY OUTFIT NA WHEN WE HAD TO PRACTICE FOR THE ABM CULMINATING ACTIVITY. ACK!

Our Bio 119 (Ichtyology) class last Friday was one of the most memorable classes that I've had so far. Why? Well, it was Roger's group's turn to report! :D

Our classes ended at 2 and we had cheerdance practice at 7 PM that day, so my friends and I didn't know what to do during the 5 hour waiting time. Erik wanted to watch a movie, but Scott had to go home at 4. Scott, Marv, Erik, Marge and I ended up having lunch at Causeway (Congressional), instead. Cheap, yummy food~! ♥ They have this 43 peso promo for each order of any of their dimsum dishes... Went home to take a nap coz I felt sleepy from all that food.

Saw something (kinda) disturbing on my way to cheerdance practice... Hah, nevermind... XD

JK treated his undergrad seminar classmates to pizza because it was his turn to report that evening. Rich and I made epal and had some. Haha! Some of my classmates then told us that there was an owl inside the Physics building. Out of curiosity, we decided to check it out.

Erik began making bird calls on our way. See, he didn't sound like an owl. He sort of resembled a crow... a crow that kept on saying "ah-owl". Parang Pokemon daw kasi yung owl. The owl glared back at him with really scary, evil eyes when he walked up to it. X_X

Everyone went over to Chimoms' house at around 8 to continue practice. I had a hard time getting the steps... I can't dance! :( Left at around 10, dropped off Ria at Starbucks and had dinner with Marv and Roni at Causeway (this time at Eastwood) again. :@) My dad got mad at me because I went home late. Ugh. I'm 20 and he STILL texts me every 5 minutes after 9 and waits at the gate for me. :( Whyyyyy????

Sooo. I woke up at 10 AM and decided to take a bath before having breakfast because both of my parents went out. I opened the shower and then the electric heater and started shampooing my hair when I smelled something burning. I ignored it coz I was still sleepy. Halfway through my relaxing bath, the bathroom started getting all misty.

That's when I realized that my shower was... well, breathing smoke. Haha.

I quickly turned off the heater and shower... and ran outside the bathroom, wrapped in a towel covered in soap. X____X;;

I called the maid and made her remove the switch.

Gah. Not one of my better days.

I've only been back to school for 2 days, and the requirements have already piled up.

I'm really beginning to hate Tuesdays and Thursdays, as all of them up to the next month are booked for exams and reports =/

Thesis work also sucks. None of the authors that I e-mailed over the break responded :| Eek. And I'm supposed to give my undergrad seminar next month! Omg. :(

God knows I hate reporting. I easily get nervous and end up saying crap. Hahaha. Friends, help me? How do I get rid of my stage fright? :))

Haha. Oh well. I have an animal physio exam tomorrow...back to studying. >:P

2009 had a great start.. I spent New Year's Eve with my family. Had lechon, pasta, roast chicken, and other food. :@) My mom bought lots of circular fruits for good luck :D Toasted the new year with my dad and sister. I didn't finish the wine though. >< Too bad we weren't able to watch the fireworks. :(

The first day of the new year was great too! We went to my grandma's house in Talayan to visit. :) Hung out with Kim and her cousins. She made my favorite blueberry cheesecake, and my new favorite - tiramisu! =p~ I wish I could bake too.. I tried once, but failed miserably. Haha. :(

Haven't updated in a looooong time... O_o

I spent most of December Christmas shopping for my family and friends which left me almost penniless.. X_X Thank God for my parents, grand aunt and aunties. Bwahaha.
Christmas was great! I attended 3 parties on Christmas day...meaning i had to eat lechon 3 times.. Hahaha! Kim arrived from Canada~! ♥
Went to MOA last Friday with my mom, Kim and Auntie Mary :p Tried the Haagen Dazs fondue....!♥ =p~ Bonded with Kim while the moms shopped for pants. :)) And yes, we watched the sunset again~!
More shopping with my sister on the 28th. >< My dad wanted to watch a movie, so we saw Desperadas 2, which featured the fugliest drag queen on the planet, Ogie Alcasid. I didn't like Isa Calzado either. ><
Got a pretty bouquet of flowers ♥ and had lunch at Circles for the first time on the 27th :"> ♥ ♥ ♥ The sea bass was so delicious. And so was the roast beef. And the sashimi and sushi. And the oysters. And the DESSERTS OMG. I love love loved the raspberry panacotta and creme brulee~! Had dinner at Recipes Trinoma with Gene and Merri... :p I went home very happy :D
Went to Greenbelt with Kim, her friend, Stan, Beljo and Brian yesterday... had lunch at Cappriciossa where we had an interesting conversation on Filipinos abroad and barok English.. XD Watched Ang Tanging Ina Nyo Lahat, which turned out to be funny in a weird kind of way. After that, we had the most amazing desserts ever at Classic Confections at Gb 5. Rum cake = heaven. ♥ Dinner at Cyma was a little disappointing. :( The fish was baaad.

Cinderella: Impossible Things Are Happening Everyday

I've been wanting to watch Cinderella since last January, when it was announced in the news that Lea Salonga, my all-time favorite singer was going to perform! I've been a huge Lea fan since I was 5, so I was definitely excited when I got to watch it with Marv and Joyce last Friday night at the CCP. Merri, Scott and Bong were also there. It was my third time to watch Lea on stage and I must say, her voice has really improved! Her voice sounded more pure and refined, compared to the last time I watched her perform, which was like, 6 or 7 years ago :)

One thing that really bothered me when we arrived at the venue was that a significant number of people were dressed in jeans and *gasp* SNEAKERS! >:P Not to sound snobbish or something, but whatever happened to theater etiquette?

I know that times are changing and the rules are not that strict about the dress code anymore, but well, jeans and a T-shirt are waaaay too casual for certain places and events. :) I mean, it's definitely okay to wear that kind of outfit at school, when you're watching a theater class perform at the film center, but not when you're seeing a Tony/Olivier/Theatre World award-winning actress!

The ladies at the back were very, very loud! They kept on laughing and repeating the lines said by the cast! SOOO ANNOYING! They also kept on taking pictures. Ugh. As if they would be able to take pictures from where we were sitting (Balcony 1). Annnnd... Well, everyone kept on 'woot-ing' at the end!! How embarrassiiiing. XDDD Oh well. Enough of my whining. :P

I love love love the songs! My favorites would have to be Impossible/It's possible and In My Own Little Corner. Lea and the Fairy Godmother were amazing! The stepsisters, Joy and Portia, as well as the stepmother were hilarious! And the beautiful sets! Ohmygod. :O Haha! Prince Christopher was uhm... kind of boring. He didn't give me the romantic "feel" that I was looking for. Must be because he's much younger than Lea so they didn't really have much chemistry together.

All in all, it was still a nice performance! Definitely worth the wait! :)

Watched The Dark Knight last night at Eastwood with Rich, Ervin, Marv and Erik!

IT WAS AWESOME! I loved it! Super nice talaga! :) Batman still had the weird monster voice from Batman Begins, though... But oh well! STILL GREAT! One of the best movies I've ever watched! Heath Ledger was AMAZING. :)

Marv and I tried the Haagen Dazs chocolate fondue! Sixteen scoops of their special ice cream (chocolate, coffee, macadamia, strawberry flavor), luscious fruit (strawberries, bananas and green apple slices) and yummy pastries dipped in Belgian chocolate!!! :@) HAHAHA. All that for 760 php... -_-

Sooo sinful!!!!♥♥♥

Had a bad stomachache after coz of too much dairy... But it was worth it. ♥

freaky friday

I had a very bad asthma attack last Thursday night so my mom called my pediatrician who prescribed me some Ventolin tablets. I woke up late the next day because I was still feeling sick. Still, I went to school coz I had a Bio 150 quiz on microscopy. Dr. Jacinto was feeling evil that day and gave us a quiz during lecture on the topic that she just discussed. I didn't do too well, obviously. :( Microscopy test was kinda better, my partner and I got 80% correct. I was getting kinda dizzy but still forced myself to smile and act normally coz it was my friend's birthday, and I didn't want to spoil it.

It only got worse during lunch time. I didn't have any appetite and started having problems breathing. During our Ecology class, I started hyperventilating and could barely keep my eyes open. Marv, my seatmate, noticed and kept on asking me if I was okay. I swear, that class was the longest hour of my life! Ten minutes before our class ended, I began to panic. How was I supposed to go birding ("scientific" bird-watching) around campus that afternoon? Rich and JK told me that it was very tiring, and that a lot of people had headaches after.

Marv got really worried and decided to drive me to St. Luke's hospital. I panicked and told him that I was going to be fine if he just brought me to the UP health center. He insisted that they didn't have the facilities or staff. He called my mom, and she told him to go to the Heart Center instead coz it was nearer. I was already losing consciousness at that point. Marv held my hand throughout the trip and kept on telling me to stay conscious. Taking in short, small amounts of air felt like adding lead weights to my lungs. My chest felt like it weighed a ton. Good thing I was still awake when we reached the ER, where my mom was waiting.

I spent about 2 hours at the hospital, where I received 3 doses of Ventolin respirator ampules. I was very late for my Ecology lab class and Marv was late for his Plant physio class. My mom panicked and kept on asking the doctors to hurry up. X_X

I was discharged at around 3:30 PM and arrived at school at 4. I still attended the birding session for Ecology lab because I didn't want to miss class. Fieldwork was actually fun! The birds are sooo cute, especially the pygmy woodpecker. :) I felt like I didn't get sick at all. After Ecology lab, we all went back to IB for a meeting on our yearbook. I'm gonna have my pic taken along with my batchmates even if I'm not graduating with them this April. :D Hehehe. Had dinner at Omakase with Marv, Rich, Erik, Bea, Ervin and Pao. Dynamite rolls and spice tuna salad are love. <3 My dad scolded me when I got home for going out coz I was sick. >_< Oh well.

All in all, I'm really thankful that nothing very serious happened to me. I really thought I was going to die. Thank you, God for giving me people who truly care for me, and for making me enjoy the rest of what could've been the worst day of my life. :)

The first week of school just ended and I already feel exhausted. Must be the flu (I get it every semester)..

Or our evil Ecology teacher who siphons energy out of me every additional minute he spends talking about writing a scientific paper!!!! >___O He's so eeeevuhl. He gave us a quiz on our second meeting and now wants us to write a review paper for a 5 page article on systematics and taxonomyyyyy! I'm actually quite nervous because I haven't taken Microbio and Genetics yet. Plus, I didn't take Biostatistics. I'm so doomed.

Embryology and Cell biology seem interesting. Dr. Jacinto's my teacher for both lecture classes, and she's not boring at all! :) She's very good with names so I can't hide from her when she asks us to recite in class. Embryology lab is...kinda difficult. I find identifying mouse spermatids very challenging.

Having classes on Wednesdays is not good for me (Weird UP system moved our free day on Monday)! That's because I bum around during weekends and then cram my homework on Wednesday! :D Plus, my thesis adviser wants me to work on Mondays. :( NO MORE SOCIAL LIFE!!!!!

Anyway, I better start on my huge pile of homework now.

Things to do:

Read article and finish Ecology lab review paper
Start on cell bio lab presentation on electron microscopy
Embryology plates on mammal spermatogenesis
Collect more journal abstracts on the effect of pesticides on tilapia

Went to UP at around 830 AM :) My tuition fee from summer class was under-assessed so I had to go to the registrar pa to pay for it. :( Bumped into JJ (an incoming Bio freshie) over there. Sir Fonti had to cancel my thesis slot even if Ma'am Lilian and my Bio friends insisted na I could enroll for Bio 200 :( Sir Fonti even talked to Sir Windell, asking if there was any chance that I could sign up for the course. Oh well, good thing my adviser is superduper nice! ♥

Had lunch with Marv, Mike and Toppers at Wanton (in Greenhills pa!) after pre-advising coz Marv had to enlist for PE, and the department had to close for lunchbreak. Shrimp wanton and their jokes cheered me up haha. :D Went back to school at around 230 to meet up with Ma'am Basiao. She was very understanding and didn't disown me despite the whole enrollment thing! :)

Post advising ended at around 5. Marv and I went to Katipunan for halo-halo. Hehe. Ang taba ko na talaga!!!

SUMMER CLASSES ENDED 3 WEEKS AGO. :) No more Chem for the rest of my college life! :O
My Internet broke down a few days after summer classes ended because the DSL modem needed an upgrade >___O;;;
Marv came back from Taiwan~! Yay Hello Kitty instant noodles~! ♥ And Hello Kitty towel! ♥ I LOVE HELLO KITTY.
My younger sister passed UP FINE ARTS! :D Yaaaay!
Hung out with Kim almost every other day for the past weeks... :P We watched the sun set over Manila Bay...♥ Aww. HAHA CHEESY! Advanced HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEXY! Hehe ;)
Have been eating like a pig! :@) Also watched Speed Racer, Indiana Jones and 21~!

This summer's really HOT!

Haha imagine spending 6 hours of Biochemistry from MONDAY to FRIDAY, 4 of which I have to spend in the lab, wearing long pants, closed shoes, labgowns and labgoggles. My classes start at 7 AM, and we have quizzes almost everyday (Ma'am Amor's our teacher -_-) :( Wahaha I LOVE Biochem. I musssssst love love love Biochem! ♥♥♥

No really, Biochem's fine... Krisha and Jez are my labpartners! Wahaha... And Fetus (my blockmate) is my classmate too~! ♥

A speaker from Duke University/NUS med school went to IB yesterday to invite the incoming seniors to apply. LOL, I'm still definitely gonna take up med proper here because 1) there's 0% chance of me getting in, 2) it'll be hard adjusting to the professors 'cause their English is a bit hard to understand and 3) I love it here in the Philippines! ♥

We also had our first ABM genmeet yesterday afternoon... Which reminds me...I have to post the minutes at our Yahoo group. XD And finish the directory :((

Anyway, I'll be going out in a while... Will start writing Chem FR later. X_X
